^*^* Fireworks! + Concert! ^*^* Monday, August 15, 2005
Hey pplz! wonder if u r ready for another post. haha! Juz wanna put a short one here. Been to the fireworks at marina bay today. cuz they haf already put that carnival up for a week plus already and today is their last day of their carnival. in order to commenerate the end of the national day's celebration, they haf this 15min long of firework celebrations. Actually at their beginning of the carnival(last sat) they also haf a short firework display too, but i didnt catch it. also the NDP one i too didnt see. so this time i die die muz see. haha!
We reached marina bay mrt like at 7:55pm. the fireworks shud start at 8pm so i abit the kan jiong.. walked there instead of the bus cuz apparently the bus dun reach the place inside, n u haf to walk a distance in too, and also theres ALOT of ppl queueing for the bus!!! So me n nick walked in by following the pavement trail. and BEST, as we proceeded in, there's no lamp or any light source or street light to lit the way! Very dark! Kena forced to use our hp light to dimly lit the pavement at least we know where we r walking. BUT i still kicked "something" (cuz dunnno wat, but i ThinK its a tree root sticking out of the pavement) and almost tripped! Hurt my left big toe(very painful!) but can be considered heng that my nail wasnt chipped off. Hope no blue black tml only. hehe! Wat an experience huh?! hehe.
Then as we were walking out of the trail n into some light where there are ppl(at last, cuz that trail got at least 5-10mins long), the firework started! me and nick ran n ran towards the firework area. weird thing is dispite my painful toe, i ran faster than nick. hahaa!!! Too anxious to catch the firework display le i think. in the end we stood on top of a hill to watch the fireworks cuz knew that cant reach the main grounds w/o missing much of the display. cuz got trees at the far end n thus act as a curtain from the low ranging fireworks n we can only see the higher ones. not bad la. nick got capture a video of it. Really loud and chio the fireworks. i'll try to put the pictures n the video up in my next blog k? heh...
After the display ended, we proceed as fast as we can towards the concert stage n need to struggle with the on-coming crowd(actualy they r going back while we r still heading forward) the crowd is MASSIVE too! Seems tt every time got fireworks, there r gonna be thousands n thousands of ppl there. Finally reached the concert stage w/o any difficulty in searching for the place as we juz followed the blasting booming music from their huge n numerous speakers. Heard sweety's voices singing the song Sihui loves(paiseh forget the song name rite now..) and their 眼泪 彩虹(something liddat? hehe...). Followed by a english local singer(that fat guy on ch 5 can see de but i forget his name le.) rapping n singing away. Next is evvone xu and chen song ling, both sing 3 songs each and they also used this opportunity to advertise for their 雪郎湖. Oh ya, this drama is further extended 1 day to 18th sept le.. Song ling did sang one eng song: Commitment, tat nick finds it very funny due to her pronouncation. U Bad le dear... hahaa.. after her got 同恩 who sang the 3 hit songs from her latest album. Very nice worx! her singing power is really superb n cuz her 3 songs quite fast de so makes the audience quite high. Somemore hor the speakers n lighting n the big clear space n 4 big screens make the whole "party" really fun. hah! one bad point is that i think the mud under the big covers need some breathers or tt the fertilisers were rotting created a "armonia" smell that is quite stinky. heh. Next is Landy, then Daniel Chang Feng Qi(i saw the list of singers performing online n i initially mistaken to be my daniel - chen xiao dong, tt's y i wanna see the concert, but i found out this morning on the radio that it is zhang feng qi but i still go la... hehee...) See the stars to pretty chio n handsome, n wats more some of them like 同恩 and Daniel r so young! Wat's this man, r we getting old? haha! Anyway they all sing 3 songs each tt's y this concert can last from 830pm to 1030+pm.
After that went met up wif 2 of my frens whom i initially asked along at the steamboat there cuz they r eating their dinner there. After that me n nick walked out n took the bus back. no more walking as its really too dark le n we r pretty tired from standing all the way! stood for 2+hrs before resting our butt finally on the mrt back home. haha! tired sia! k la stopping here. Tml still got plans on going out cuz dear can use the car. Intend to go swimming or to the movies(duno do wat yet) and also(definitly) to eat craypot laksa. see if mx n sh wanna join in anot. hahaa! k gonna hit the sack! Nitez ppl! (@_@)zzZZ...
